The location of the Thagchokling Retreat Centre in Ladakh (Little Tibet)

The Thagchokling Retreat Centre is located at app. 3.700m in the idyllic valley of Ney, 40kms west of Leh, the capital of Ladakh (national airport). The monastic building was opened in 2002. It was built by a German who shared theidea of a meeting place for East and West with Lochos Rinpoche. His Holiness the Dalai Lama welcomed this initiative and he blessed the foundation stone.
